Our Bliss Bride Camalla and her girlfriends are the epitome #friendshipgoals! On the Wednesday before Camalla’s scheduled Saturday bridal appointment, we received a call from her friend Nikki letting us know that she needed our help planning a surprise for Camalla. Nikki told us that she and 2 of Camalla’s other girlfriends wanted to contribute to her bridal gown purchase! We told Nikki that we would LOVE to help them pull off such a kind gesture! Read on to see Camalla explain how their friendship developed and how the surprise went down! After you read about these ladies’ friendship we’re sure you’ll be ready to go shopping and grab a cocktail with them.
“I have worked with Katie, Nikki, and Lori (aka the “The Glam Squad”) for over 6 years now. I’m originally from Birmingham, and don’t have close family in New Orleans. These ladies, however, have truly become my family. I consider them the sisters that I do not have, and admire their impeccable sense of style (hence why I affectionately named them “The Glam Squad”). “
“When I was overwhelmed about the prospect of choosing a wedding dress, they took it upon themselves to schedule appointments for me, and also took time out of their busy schedules to accompany me to bridal shops on two separate Saturdays. At my appointment with Bliss Bridal, I instantly fell in love with the “Brooke” gown, but wanted to wait until my parents came in town before officially saying “yes” to the dress. After I said “yes,” Ms. Connie told me she had a surprise at the register. I thought it was champagne to toast to the big decision, but instead, I learned that on the day before, the ladies delivered an envelope to Bliss Bridal with contributions from each of them to the purchase of my gown!”
“They went above and beyond and I am so grateful and appreciative of their kind gesture. Whenever I think of them this quote comes to mind: Friends are the family we choose for ourselves. I can’t wait to marry the love of my life in the presence of God, family, friends, and The Glam Squad!”
We are elated to announce the addition of our Bliss Bridal Collection to our boutiques! Featuring a curated collection of gowns specifically for our brides, the label offers women both cutting edge trends and classic designs.
Working with a talented private designer, owner Katie collaborated on each piece down to the final button.
Each boutique will feature a yearly collection and those gowns are designed with the local bride in mind- who she is, where she’s getting married and how she wants to feel on her wedding day. Whether it’s a daring beaded gown to be worn in the French Quarter, or a perfectly princess tulle ballgown for an antebellum private home- these dresses have been chosen to resonate with today’s bride.
Still aligned with our concept, that great style can be affordable, all of our private collection gowns are priced under $2000. Book your appointment today to shop these amazing collection of gowns!
Join us at Bliss Bridal, Fairhope on October 20th at 5 p.m. as we host an open house to share our latest collection.

Fringe is always big and the perfect way for a bride to add her own boho touch to her wedding day. Our gown Mia does just that! Accessorize this beauty with a string of pearls for a Gatsby look, or a flower crown made of greenery for an outdoor ceremony.
Kassidy, is the perfect gown for the bride who always envisioned a ball gown silhouette for her special day, but is drawn to soft and youthful details. Add an embellished belt for added glamour.
Shown in champagne, Krystal, is ideal for a nighttime ceremony with a black-tie theme. This gown will be sure to catch your guests attention and leave them in awe and not just because of the New Orleans cuisine!
